Data Deletion Policy – Sphere of Influence (SOI)

Overview
Sphere of Influence (“SOI”, “we”, “us”) provides an easy way for users to request deletion of their personal data. This page explains the available methods, what will be deleted, how long it takes, and exceptions required by law.
How to request deletion
Email request (recommended): Send an email to support@myspherenow.com with the subject “SOI Data Deletion” from the same email address associated with your account.
Include:Your full name
The email or phone tied to your SOI account
In-app/Account closure (if available): If a Delete/Close Account button is present in your account settings, you can use it to start the same process.
Verification
To protect your account, we may ask you to verify control of your email address or provide limited additional information.
What we delete
Upon a verified request, we delete or anonymize:
Account/profile data (e.g., name, email)
Content you provided (e.g., notes, tags, groups)
Authentication identifiers and tokens
Routine logs that can be linked to your account
What we may retain temporarily
We may retain limited information for up to 30 days in encrypted backups that rotate on a fixed schedule. Backup data is not used for active processing and is purged automatically.
What we may retain as required
We may keep information if we have a lawful basis to do so, including:
Fraud prevention and security (e.g., abuse records, rate-limit artifacts)
Compliance with legal obligations, tax/audit requirements, or dispute resolution
Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you
Timeframe
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. If additional time is needed for complex requests, we’ll notify you.
Third-party processors
Where feasible, we will forward deletion requests to subprocessors we use for hosting, analytics, or email delivery so that they can delete relevant data they process on our behalf.
Confirmation
You’ll receive a confirmation email when your request is completed. If you re-activate or sign back in after deletion, a new profile may be created.
